Data Deletion Instructions
At ASOOBI, we respect your privacy and give you full ownership of your data. You have complete control over your linked social accounts. You can temporarily disconnect any profile to pause synchronization or permanently delete your account and metrics from our servers at any time.
1. Disconnecting & Reconnecting Accounts
Disconnecting a social connection temporarily suspends all data synchronization between ASOOBI and that social platform. This action revokes the active integration token on our side but retains your synced historical metrics and portfolio posts. This allows you to easily reconnect your account in the future without losing your setup.
YouTube & Google Connections
- 1.Navigate to the ASOOBI Dashboard and go to Settings > Socials.
- 2.Click the Disconnect text link on the right side of your Google connection card header.
- 3.ASOOBI will automatically delete the access credentials from our database and call Google's API to revoke the application authorization.
- 4.To reconnect at any time, click the Reconnect button on the card header and sign in with Google.
- 5.Additionally, you can completely revoke the app's authorization directly through your Google account by visiting the Google Security Settings Page.
Instagram & Meta Connections
- 1.Navigate to the ASOOBI Dashboard and go to Settings > Socials.
- 2.Click the Disconnect text link on the right side of your Meta connection card header to suspend sync.
- 3.To fully deauthorize the app, go to your Instagram mobile app or web browser, go to Settings > Apps and websites, find ASOOBI Platform-IG in the Active tab, and click Remove.
- 4.To reconnect, click the Reconnect button on the card header and authorize with Meta.
- 5.To view or manage all authorized applications, you can also visit Facebook's Apps and Websites Settings Page.
2. Deleting, Restoring & Purging Data
If you wish to remove your social profiles or account data from ASOOBI, you can utilize our two-step deletion process. Deleting an account initially soft-deletes the data, placing it in an archive for 90 days. During this grace period, you can restore your data. If no action is taken, the data is permanently deleted at the end of the 90 days. You can also choose to bypass the grace period and permanently delete the data immediately.
Warning: Permanent deletion is irreversible. It completely wipes all profiles, metrics, posts, and access credentials from ASOOBI databases.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- To Soft-Delete an Account or Link:
- For individual channels or pages: Click the 3-dots menu button on the right side of the channel row, and select "Remove [Platform]".
- For custom profile links: Click the 3-dots menu button on the card, and select "Remove Link".
- For whole Google/Meta parent accounts: Click the "Remove Account" text link directly in the card's header.
- To Restore a Removed Connection:
- Scroll down to the Recently Removed Accounts section at the bottom of the page.
- Find the removed account card and click the Restore button directly on the card to instantly reactivate the connection and restore all synced historical data.
- To Permanently Delete & Wipe Data:
- Scroll down to the Recently Removed Accounts section.
- Find the removed account card and click the red Permanently Delete button directly on the card.
- Confirm the action in the popup prompt. This immediately purges all connection tokens, profiles, posts, and historical metrics from our database.
